Grand Political Carnival as Trakiriowei Declares Interest in Patani Constituency Seat

The political atmosphere in Patani Local Government Area came alive on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 as Hon. Barrister Trakiriowei Harry ThankGod formally declared his intention to contest for the Delta State House of Assembly seat representing Patani State Constituency.
The declaration which attracted party faithful, political stakeholders, youths, women groups, community leaders, and supporters from across the constituency was celebrated with a grand political carnival marked by music, cultural displays, solidarity marches, and widespread jubilation.
Speaking during the event, Barr. Trakiriowei said his decision to join the race was born out of his passion for quality representation, grassroots development, youth empowerment, and the desire to attract meaningful dividends of democracy to the people of Patani Constituency.
He assured constituents that his aspiration is people-oriented and focused on delivering purposeful leadership capable of addressing the pressing needs of the constituency.
According to him, the people of Patani deserve inclusive representation, improved infrastructure, educational support, empowerment opportunities for youths and women as well as stronger advocacy at the Delta State House of Assembly.
Barr. Trakiriowei also called on supporters and political associates to remain united and committed throughout the political process, emphasizing the need for peace, unity, and collective progress within the constituency.
The declaration carnival featured colorful processions by supporters carrying banners and placards bearing solidarity messages, while various groups took turns to endorse his ambition and describe him as a credible and accessible leader with the capacity to represent the constituency effectively.
Several speakers at the gathering commended Barr. Trakiriowei for what they described as his longstanding contributions to community development and humanitarian service, expressing confidence in his ability to provide effective representation if elected.
